Job summary

MatchMedics is recruiting experienced Family Medicine / General Practice doctors who trained outside Ireland for a dedicated pathway toward Specialist GP Registration in Ireland.

The programme runs over 2 years in participating rural GP practices, with a dedicated GP trainer, clinical mentorship, and structured self-directed education. It prepares you for MICGP examinations and aims for registration with the Irish Medical Council.

Qualifications

• Minimum 36 months of recent and relevant experience in Family Medicine / General Practice in a primary care setting.
• Additional hospital experience including General Medicine and Paediatrics (minimum 3 months each).
• Eligibility for registration with the Irish Medical Council (General Division).
• Evidence of English language proficiency where required.

International GP Opportunity – 2-Year Pathway to Specialist GP Registration in Ireland

Are you an experienced Family Medicine / General Practitioner trained outside Ireland and interested in progressing to EU/UK recognized Specialist GP Registration?

Ireland offers a structured 2-year pathway for experienced international GPs / Family Medicine doctors to transition into Irish general practice while preparing for the MICGP examinations and entry to the Specialist Register.

You will work in a participating rural GP practice, supported by clinical mentorship, structured self-directed education, and protected learning provided by the Irish College of GPs.

• Out-of-hours GP service work
• Walk-in clinic work without continuity of care
