Job summary

Croom Medical is an award-winning precision engineering company in Ireland, supplying the Medical Device sector. We are expanding and hiring General Operators on permanent contracts to operate manufacturing equipment and support quality compliance.

Working with night targets and a collaborative team, you will play a key role in maintaining production throughput while ensuring GMP and ISO 13485 standards are followed. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing background preferred but training provided.
  • Fluent English in written and spoken form.
  • Ability to work shift - flexible

Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Carry out manual and semi-automated production tasks to meet nightly output targets.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment during production runs, escalating issues as they arise.
  • Perform in-process inspections and checks to ensure products meet quality specifications.
  • Accurately complete batch records, production logs, and quality documentation.
  • Identify and report any non-conforming product, deviations, or quality issues immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work area in line with GMP standards.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the outgoing/incoming shift to ensure smooth handover.

Due to our ongoing expansion, we are continuing to hire General Operators. These are permanent roles.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Production & Machine Operation
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and machinery in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Carry out manual and semi-automated production tasks to meet nightly output targets.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment during production runs, escalating issues as they arise.
  • Perform in-process inspections and checks to ensure products meet quality specifications.

  • Follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures in line with ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Identify and report any non-conforming product, deviations, or quality issues immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work area in line with GMP standards.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions as required.
Team & Shift Support
  • Communicate effectively with the outgoing/incoming shift to ensure smooth handover.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and the Night Shift Supervisor to meet production goals.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Support flexibility across different production lines or processes as business needs.
Key Skills and Competencies

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus but not essential as training is given
