Job summary

BWG Foods Ltd invites applications for a General Operative at the Value Centre, Galway on a permanent full-time basis. You will assist with stock replenishment, merchandising at point of sale, loading/unloading pallets and order assembly while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires good English, reliability, flexibility and the ability to work in ambient, chill and freezer areas. Reach forklift experience with an up-to-date certificate is essential.

General Operative - VC Galway

BWG Foods are currently recruiting for the position of General Operative on a Permanent Full-Time in Value Centre, Galway.

Duties of a General Operative include:

• Stock replenishment & merchandising point of sale.

• Loading/unloading pallets in an industrial racking system.

• Order assembly.

• Stock taking.

• Dealing with customer queries in a professional manner.

• Co-operation and participation in all health & safety, and security requirements.

• House-keeping duties.

• Other associated duties as requested by your manager.

The suitable General Operative should:

• Have Reach forklift experience and an up-to-date operator’s certificate.

• Be customer focused, motivated, and enthusiastic.

• Be reliable and flexible.

• Have a can-do attitude.

• Have a strong attention to detail.

• Work well in a team environment and be able to work on your own initiative.

• Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse.

• Have good written and spoken English.

• Must be able to work in ambient, chill and freezer areas of the warehouse.

• This role involves manual handling e.g. lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving of products and loads.
