General Operative role at Chadwicks Group in Dublin 22 area. You will support day-to-day yard and warehouse operations, process deliveries, and assist customers with queries in a fast-paced builders' merchants environment.

Role requires forklift licence, manual handling certificate, and prior operative or customer service experience. Fixed-term, full-time with Saturday roster as needed.

• Experience in a busy builders' merchants or construction materials environment (advantageous).

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse and yard environment at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and report low-stock items to management to help ensure product availability.

• Pick, pack, and load orders accurately and efficiently for customer collections and company deliveries.

General Operative

Part of Grafton Group Plc, Chadwicks Group is the market leader in the builder’s merchanting industry in the Republic of Ireland. The core business is through the traditional Builders Merchants division. Main brands include Chadwicks, Cork Builders Providers, Davies & Telfords. In addition, and through organic growth and acquisitions the Group have established a range of brands which are close to the core but offer a uniquely different range of products. These include Heiton Steel, Panelling Centre, Morgans Timber, Proline & Sitetech.

About the Role

Reporting to the Yard Supervisor and Branch Manager, the General Operative plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of the branch. You will be responsible for maintaining an organised, safe, and efficient yard and warehouse while providing excellent support to customers and colleagues.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is committed to delivering a dependable and friendly service.

Knowledge & Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Previous experience working as a General Operative
• A valid Forklift Licence (essential)
• A valid Manual Handling Certificate
• Previous customer service experience
• Experience working within a busy builders' merchants or construction materials environment (advantageous)

Contract Details
