We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on General Manager to lead the operations of our vibrant Bloody Stream coastal bar and restaurant located in the heart of Howth. Known for our exceptional service, locally sourced food, good craic & buzzing atmosphere we attract locals and tourists alike. With a loyal customer base and a reputation for excellence, we’re seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our team and drive continued success. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys engaging with guests, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves—whether that means pulling pints, managing live entertainment, or leading a high-performing team.

Job Overview

As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, atmosphere, and efficiency. You’ll lead a dedicated team, oversee front and back of house coordination, manage financial targets, and maintain the unique character that sets us apart.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the bar and restaurant with a hands-on approach.
• Lead, train, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, and staffing levels to optimize efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and customer service.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and bar team on menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings.
• Drive sales and profitability through cost control, upselling, and effective stock management.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, food safety, and employment legislation.
• Represent the venue at community and promotional events as needed.

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a busy hospitality environment.

• Passion for food, drink, and delivering outstanding hospitality.
