Location: Hospital-Based | Hours: 37.5/week | Salary: Up to €75,000

Are you ready to lead a high-performing hospital team and make a real difference to patient care? Veonet Ireland is on the lookout for an energetic, hands-on General Manager to drive operational excellence, clinical performance, and patient satisfaction.

As GM, you’ll be the glue that holds our hospital together—working closely with our Consultant Clinical Lead, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring every patient experiences safe, consistent, world-class care.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and customer service champions.
  • Own the hospital business plan, ensuring we hit financial, patient volume, and satisfaction targets.
  • Schedule clinical services efficiently to optimise resources and patient access.
  • Analyse data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to deliver operational and clinical excellence.
  • Uphold Veonet Ireland governance and compliance frameworks—safety first, always.
  • Handle incidents, safeguarding alerts, and complaints—turning challenges into learning opportunities.
  • Work alongside the Business Development Team to grow referral pathways and local partnerships.
  • Promote innovative approaches in hospital operations—because we’re never satisfied with “good enough”!
  • Support team development and succession planning—helping our staff grow as we grow.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Experience managing clinical teams in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and relationship-building skills.

Desirable

  • Degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.
  • Understanding of ophthalmology services.
  • Experience with customer attraction and business planning.
