Cairn is recruiting a General Foreperson for our Holybanks Site. This pivotal role drives Health & Safety standards and site coordination to deliver projects on time and to quality. You will manage labour, plant and subcontractors, and maintain a safe, efficient site environment.

The ideal candidate will have a trade, logistics, or lifting operations background, strong communication skills and the ability to lead teams under tight deadlines. Training for lifting supervisor may be provided.

Qualificações

Experience in trade, logistics, or lifting operations.
Ability to meet deadlines and high quality targets.
Good spoken and written communication.
Methodical, detail-oriented and accurate.
Able to coordinate multiple tasks and work in a team.
Willing to take responsibility for designated tasks.
Certification as appointed person/lifting supervisor beneficial.
Familiar with relevant safety regulations.

Responsabilidades

Ownership of the management of Health and Safety on the project.

Inspect works on site and resolve issues to ensure quality and timely handover.
Manage site labour and materials allocations daily.
Oversee civil engineering and groundworks contractors.
Set up and maintain logistics walkways and access routes.
Coordinate movement of labour, machinery and materials on/off site.
Maintain a safe site with strong Health & Safety practices.
Coordinate subcontractors/service providers for timely handover.
Liaise with engineering for waste management records.

We are actively recruiting a General Foreperson for our Holybanks Site. This is a key role to set and maintain consistent standards around our operations.

Key responsibilities

Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:

Ownership of the management of Health and Safety on the project.
Understand target delivery programme, weekly reporting of same and active intervention to prevent delays.
Attend and assist at daily whiteboard meetings.
Continuous inspection of works on site, raising and resolving issues in a timely manner to ensure quality of works. Subcontractor and Supplier Management
Completion of daily allocation sheets for site labour and materials.
Management of civil engineering and groundworks contractor.
Set up and maintain logistics walkways, including vehicle & pedestrian routes.
Take control of works from house foundations, through to 1st & 2nd fix including external finishes, paving, boundary walls and landscaping.
Effectively manage the movement of labour, machinery, and materials on and off site through site coordination & logistics software.
Maintain a secure and safe site through effective Health & Safety practises.
Management and coordination of subcontractors and service providers, to ensure timely handover to Finishing Foreman in line with programme requirements.
Liaise with the engineering team to ensure waste management records are available and accurate.
Instil a best-in-class customer service and experience for all stakeholders and be a strong advocate for the Cairn brand.

The Candidate:

Trade, logistics, or lifting operation background preferable.
An ability to achieve demanding deadline and quality targets.
To have good spoken and written communication skills.
To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate.
To be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.
To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative.
To be able to co-ordinate several different tasks at the same time.
To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks.
Certification as an appointed person/lifting supervisor beneficial but not essential (training will be provided).
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations.
