Job summary

Fidelity is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for Galway to lead design and development of the Equity Trading platform. You will mentor engineers, promote best practices and partner with business and product teams to deliver mission-critical trading capabilities.

You will work on an enterprise system that serves multiple asset classes, driving improvements and implementing modern engineering craft with Java/Spring Boot, event-driven patterns and cloud-enabled services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and building backend services in Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with JMS or Kafka for event-driven apps.
• Proficient in test automation and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with Oracle/PL-SQL.
