QT Technologies Ireland Limited in Cork invites applications for an intern IT Engineer in the Data Protection Group to start in 2027 for up to 8 months as part of the Interns Group – Interim Intern program.

You will contribute to automation for data protection solutions (Veeam, Cohesity) and work with a global infrastructure team on architecture, reporting, and day-to-day operational tasks including break/fix, upgrades and restore requests.

Qualifications

• Currently a university student seeking mandatory placement of 6+ months.
• Eligible to work in Ireland for the duration of the internship.

Qualcomm is seeking an intern IT Engineer for our Data Protection Group (DPG) to start in 2027 for up to 8 months to join the global Infrastructure group in the Cork Technology Centre, Ireland.

You will work in a global team that manage and optimize data protection services and automate where possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Build automation and tooling for data protection solutions such as Veeam & Cohesity
• Work on data protection architecture and reporting
• Gain hands‑on experience with operations such as break fix, upgrades and restore requests

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Curiosity and enthusiasm
• Willingness to learn

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Storage and backup Platforms such as Cohesity, NetWorker, NetApp, Isilon, Veeam
• Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP methods, Python
• Basic Linux commands

Education Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must be a current student in the middle or towards the end of your university studies looking for an Intern/co‑op placement as a mandatory part of your degree for 6+ months. Candidates must legally be able to work in Ireland and registered as a current student.
