Job summary

SMJ Luxury Kitchens & Interiors Ltd in Co. Tipperary seeks an experienced Furniture Maker / Craft Woodworker to translate complex designs into premium assembled pieces, including kitchen cabinetry and luxury wardrobes.

The candidate will read blueprints, joinery and production drawings, assemble pieces, perform precision sanding and hardware fitting, and ensure top quality throughout production. 2+ years’ experience and Level 4 qualification; fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in cabinet making or similar joinery roles.
• Minimum Level 4 qualification (Leaving Certificate/Equivalent).
• Desirable: Interpersonal skills and manual dexterity.
• Desirable: Teamwork, time management, and initiative.
• Desirable: Manual Handling competence.

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately interpret blueprints, production drawings and 3D design specifications.
• Assemble premium furniture, high-end kitchen cabinets, custom wardrobes and luxury storage units.
• Perform precision sanding, hardware fitting and surface prep.
• Ensure high-quality standards are met throughout production.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished pieces.
• Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

SMJ Luxury Kitchens & Interiors Ltd is a premier manufacture of high-end bespoke kitchens, architectural joinery, and luxury residential furniture and are currently recruiting a highly skilled Furniture Maker / Craft Woodworker to join our growing team in Co. Tipperary. The successful candidate will have a deep passion for fine woodworking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to take custom furniture concepts from technical drawings through to final premium assembly and finish.

• Read and accurately interpret complex architectural blueprints, production drawings, and 3D design specifications.


• Assemble premium furniture pieces, high-end kitchen cabinets, custom wardrobes, and luxury storage units.


• Conduct precision sanding, fitting of heavy-duty luxury architectural hardware, and initial surface finishing prep.


• Ensure high-quality standards are met throughout the production process


• Perform quality control checks on finished pieces.


• Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet deadlines and resolve issues.


• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.


• Follow all health and safety procedures.

we are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of 2- 5 years' experience in cabinet making required-Strong understanding of joinery techniques and production processes.- Excellent problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Fluent English required

Remuneration is €36,605 per annum based on 39 hours work week.
