Job summary

Nightingale Health & Homecare Providers Ltd. is recruiting a full-time Healthcare Assistant to provide professional home care and personal support to clients in their own homes across Cork City and surrounding suburbs.

You will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, companionship and daily living activities, while following care plans and promoting dignity and independence. A QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support qualification and English at B2 level are required.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification.
• Essential English language ability (B2).
• 1 year or more healthcare/home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and continence care.
• Support mobility and transfers, meals, hydration and daily living activities.
• Provide companionship and social support to reduce isolation.
• Observe wellbeing and report changes to care team.
• Maintain care records and follow infection control procedures.
