Job summary

Apleona is recruiting for Full-time Cleaning Operatives in a nursing home in Killarney, Co. Kerry. You will perform general cleaning tasks, maintain high hygiene standards, and support the care team with a safe, welcoming environment.

We value reliability, flexibility and a good work record; previous cleaning experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment or COSHH guidelines are desirable. Working pattern: Monday to Sunday, shifts up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
• Experience with cleaning equipment is desirable.
• Basic health and safety knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Flexible, honest, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum carpets and mop floors.
• Clean toilets and polish surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish.
• Use cleaning materials safely (per COSHH guidelines).
• Report defects and safety issues promptly.
• Maintain security awareness and report suspicious activities.
• Undertake job-related training as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Work effectively as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
