Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer (Java & Angular) to join our Public Sector & Utilities team in Ireland. You will design, develop and maintain scalable web apps using Java, Spring Boot and Angular.

You will work across front-end and back-end, build RESTful APIs, and contribute to microservices architectures in an agile environment with modern cloud platforms. Flexible/remote options and strong DevOps practices are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
• Strong Angular experience for modern web applications.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with automated testing, unit testing and TDD.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Experience in Agile delivery teams (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with application servers/containers like Tomcat.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience delivering solutions in UK public sector or GDS-aligned environments.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot and Angular.
• Build responsive, accessible web applications.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Contribute to solution design, architecture and estimation activities.
• Write clean, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
