Job summary

Proofpoint in Ireland (Cork) is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to expand our Capture and Intelligence platform. You’ll work in a Python-first monorepo powering data capture, workflows, AI classification, and edge-case handling with enterprise-grade reliability.

You’ll contribute across backend services, data pipelines, and client-facing UI using Python, React, and TypeScript, aligning with AWS deployments and Postgres data models. Collaboration and code quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years experience in building full-stack systems.
• Strong Python experience with typed code, testing and production debugging.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and cloud deployments (AWS).
• Proficient in API design and integration; front-end work with React/TypeScript is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and data pipelines across data capture and AI workflows.
• Deliver high-impact projects spanning multiple services or domains with strong execution.
• Contribute to client-facing UI guidance for AI-led investigations and workflows.
• Debug complex production issues related to data, APIs, and scale in a governed environment.
