Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate in Co. Galway is seeking a Front Office Manager to lead and inspire the front office team across reception, concierge, and guest relations.

In this 4-5* property, you will develop SOPs, manage VIP requests with discretion, and drive outstanding guest service levels while maintaining a calm and professional atmosphere at all times.

A passion for hospitality and strong communication are essential.

Job description

The 5* Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate (part of the MHL Hotel Collection) is currently recruiting for a Front Office Manager.

Glenlo Abbey Hotel and Estate is located on the banks of Lough Corrib on a 138-acre estate with the original 18th century manor house dating back to the 1740's. The Hotel comprises of 73 bedrooms including suites, 11 Luxury Self-Catering Lodges, Corrib Room (catering for meetings, events, and weddings for up to 170 guests), River Room Restaurant, Palmers Bar and Kitchen, Pullman Restaurant ( One Michelin Star set aboard original Dining Carriages from the Orient Express), Glo Spa & Wellness, a 9 Hole Christy O'Connor Jr designed Championship Golf course and a 21 bay driving range.

The role will be charged with leading and motivating the front office team to deliver outstanding levels of service to guests of the Estate.

Main Duties:

• Oversee all front office operations including reception, concierge, and night audit
• Lead, motivate, and develop the front office, Night and Guest relations teams
• Develop and implement SOPs for consistent service delivery
• Handle VIP guests and special requirements with discretion and excellence
• Instill a culture of excellent attention in all team members.

Advantageous Skills:

• Full Clean drivers license
• Hotsoft experience
• Experience using Alkimii
• Previous experience in a similar position within a 4-5* property.
• Strong, professional communication skills are essential, both oral and written.
• The ability to work under pressure, on their own initiative and have a passion for the hospitality business.
