Job summary

Cognizant Life Sciences Manufacturing in Dublin is seeking a Front Line Support (FLS) Engineer to join the automation team supporting our pharmaceutical client.

The role focuses on on-site automation, DeltaV and MES Syncade, PLC/SCADA support, and proactive site changes, with training responsibilities and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Automation experience, preferably with DeltaV and/or MES Syncade.
• At least 3 years' experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Extensive knowledge of DeltaV configuration (physical and procedural).
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems is an advantage.
• Experience troubleshooting MES interfaces is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Automation project support including coding, design, commissioning and testing.
• Support on-site control systems including IIT, SATTLINE and Siemens PLCs
• Initiating, implementing and qualifying proactive site changes and small projects.
• Join the daily support rota for the department.
• Provide control system training for new hires.
• Out-of-hours on-call automation support.
• Coordinate tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Monthly reporting of tasks completed and support provided.

About the role:
