Daybreak is recruiting a Fresh Food Manager to lead our fresh food departments and ensure the highest standards of quality and service for our customers.

You will oversee daily operations, drive KPIs, manage stock, roster staff, and maintain presentation in line with store guidelines, supporting the Store Manager to achieve sales and profitability goals.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a Fresh Food Department desirable.
• 1 year' experience in a Supervisor/Manager role desirable.
• Strong understanding of achieving KPIs and targets.
• Passion for fresh food.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriately.
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Control stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget.
• Foster good working relationships among the team.
• Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team.
• Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragement.
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy.
• Manage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments.
• Ensure merchandising and presentation of the fresh department is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines.
