Job summary

Daybreak is looking for a Deli Assistant to join our team in Dublin. You will prepare high-quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction remains the top priority.

Responsibilities include making sandwiches, cooking and displaying foods, and assisting customers with knowledge and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask under pressure.
• Conversational English skills are required.
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
• HACCP training is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas (sandwiches, hot foods, sliced meats) following portion control measures.
• Cook, prepare and display foods sold throughout the day.
• Keep counter displays across all fresh food departments at the highest standards.
• Share knowledge, recipes and recommendations with customers to promote quality food.
• Handle customer queries efficiently and professionally in line with store policy.

Main responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas i.e. make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food, and slice meats using the store`s portion control measures
• Cook, prepare, and display the foods sold throughout the day
• Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.
