Job summary

Daybreak in Ireland is seeking a Fresh Food Manager to oversee the fresh departments, ensuring efficient operation and delivering excellent customer service.

You will lead the team, drive KPIs, manage stock and rostering, and ensure the freshness and presentation standards across the department.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a Fresh Food Department desirable.
• 1 year experience in a Supervisor/Manager role desirable.
• Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets.
• Passion for fresh food.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriately.
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Control stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget.
• Foster good working relationships among the team.
• Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team.
• Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragement.
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy.
• Manage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments.
• Ensure merchandising and presentation of the fresh department is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines.
