Job summary

Daybreak in Ireland is recruiting a Fresh Food Manager to lead the store’s fresh food departments, ensuring products are fresh, well presented and aligned with KPI targets.

You will oversee staffing, schedule rosters, monitor waste, drive sales, and maintain high service standards while working closely with the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Fresh Food Department preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in supervisor/manager role preferred.
• Strong KPI and target understanding.
• Passion for fresh food.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of fresh departments by prioritising workload.
• Set and monitor sales targets on gross profit margin, net margin and KPIs.
• Control stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget.
• Foster good working relationships among the team.
• Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate results to the team.
• Manage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments.
• Ensure merchandising and presentation meet store guidelines.

We are currently recruiting for a Fresh Food Manager to join our team.

As a Fresh Food Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the store`s fresh food departments operate efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times.

Job Requirements

• 2 years`experience in a Fresh Food Department is desirable
• 1 years`experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable
• An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
• Passion for fresh food.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriately
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager
• Control stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget
• Foster good working relationships among the team
• Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team
• Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragement
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy
• Manage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments
• Ensure merchandising and presentation of the fresh department is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines.
