Job summary

Centra in Ennis is seeking a Deli Supervisor to ensure the deli department runs smoothly and delivers high-quality products. You will supervise staff, manage planograms, and minimise waste while upholding Centra’s brand values and customer focus.

You will train new team members, respond to customer queries, and continually bring fresh ideas to improve the deli offering, aiming to build a loyal customer base through engaging service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of fresh food supervisory experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a role with strong exposure to fresh food.
• HACCP and food safety training with experience meeting HACCP requirements.
• Experience placing orders for deli departments and managing waste in fresh foods.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Numerical skills.
• Ability to roster and manage budgets.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion for food industry; creativity in fresh offering.
• Customer-focused manager; builds loyal customer base.
• Ability to inspire, lead and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the presentation and layout of the deli serve over.
• Implement planograms correctly.
• Minimise waste and shrink in the department.
• Bring new ideas to the department on fresh food innovation through regular research and benchmarking against competitors.
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with shoppers.
• Train all new employees to the deli.
• Deal with all customer queries and efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy.
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
