Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs or Learning Support, or in progress.
• Must be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Eligibility to teach as per Teaching Council requirements; final-year candidates may apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and communicate clear, challenging, appropriate and achievable expectations for students.
• Structure schemes of work, class plans and subject department planning.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support improvement.
• Establish standards of behaviour and manage the classroom environment.
• Use varied teaching materials and technologies to engage all learners.
