Job summary

Civil X Utilities Limited, Murmod, Virginia, Co. Cavan, Ireland, seeks experienced Formwork Carpenters to perform external, site-based carpentry on civil engineering, utility and construction projects.

Duties include setting out, constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems; reading drawings; measuring and assembling timber. A minimum of 2 years’ experience and suitable references are essential. Salary: €48,133.80 gross per annum for a 39-hour week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in formwork or shuttering carpentry.
• Suitable references confirming the candidate’s experience are essential.
• Capable of working independently and complying with Irish health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out external site-based carpentry works on civil engineering, utility and construction projects.
• Set out, construct, install and dismantle timber and proprietary formwork systems for foundations, bases, walls and slabs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other formwork materials.
