Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our client’s distribution team based in Dublin 13. This permanent, full-time role offers hands-on warehouse duties with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

You will operate forklift equipment, assist with picking and packing, maintain stock records, complete documentation, and adhere to health & safety standards. The ideal candidate holds a valid forklift license and manual handling cert, with 1–2 years' experience.

Qualifications

• Valid reach and/or counterbalance forklift license with 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift.
• Manual handling certification.
• Experience with stock counting and inventory management software, especially using scanners.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule. This includes loading, packing, wrapping, labelling, and shipping orders.
• Performing a variety of tasks related to picking, packing, check-in, shipping, and freight forwarding activities.
• Accurately completing all required documentation related to warehouse and shipping activities.
• Actively participating in all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements, including adhering to manual handling procedures.
• Loading and unloading vehicles, accurately count and check incoming stock, and allocate items to appropriate storage spaces using a forklift or pallet truck.
• Sorting and placing materials in the correct allocated locations, checking for damaged or missing items, and maintain accurate stock records.
