Job summary

North South Timber Harvesting Ltd is seeking a Forest Harvesting Manager in Ireland to oversee on-site harvesting operations and safety compliance. You will coordinate daily activities with site managers and ensure IT systems are used correctly on machines.

The role requires experience in thinning and clearfell projects, plus familiarity with Ponsse, John Deere, Komatsu and Tigercat harvesting units. International exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Extensive forestry harvesting production knowledge is required.
• Experience in harvesting thinning and clearfell projects.
• Experience using harvesting units and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Liaise daily with company managers on all active site harvesting operations and conditions.
• Implement health and safety procedures for harvesting operations.
• Ensure IT systems are correctly used on machines by operators on site.
• Provide weekly reviews and updates on harvesting production reports.
• Produce weekly timber movement reports from roadside.
• Compile monthly biomass stock reports per harvesting site.
