Job summary

Sodexo in Dublin 1 is seeking a Food Service Assistant on a full-time basis. The role involves serving meals, maintaining hygiene across kitchen and service areas, and delivering great customer service throughout the café and dining spaces.

Shifts are offered 6am, 2pm, 7am-3pm, 7:30am-3:30pm and 8am-4pm, with a pay rate of €14.93 per hour. The role includes food prep, beverage service, stock replenishment, POS duties, and mentoring new staff to uphold Sodexo standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or food service is a bonus, but we’ll give you full training!
• Communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude
• A focus on cleanliness and hygiene
• A team-player, with willingness to help out

Responsibilities

• Ensure hygiene maintenance of all aspects of the kitchen & service areas. Clean and sanitise equipment and workstations before, during & after service
• Help prepare, serve and replenish food from counters such as hot plates, deli bar, breakfast bars and break down stations at the end of meal periods
• Support with making hot beverages in our coffee shops
• Interact with customers in the serving, retail, and dining areas
• Assist with deliveries and replenishing stock (First in, first out)
• Lead the team in ensuring all counters are ready for service – allergen documents are in place, utensils & display equipment in place, staff are appropriately dressed in clean uniform with no jewellery (please reference personal hygiene policy), correct menus are on display, seating area is clean, tea station has been replenished
• Support Manager, supervisor or head chef with kitchen requirements when requested to support with an efficient service
• Mange till system in restaurant and ensure compliance with all payments where required
• Manage staff breaks with business needs in mind and ensure service counters are covered accordingly especially during busier periods
• Mentor new starters & agency relief staff in their role onsite and ensure induction training is completed before they work so they have the Sodexo knowledge
• Mentor junior members of the team to ensure they are compliant to Sodexo and business needs
