Sodexo is hiring a Food Service Assistant at TU Dublin Lowerhouse. This full-time position supports day-to-day catering operations across the campus, assisting with food preparation, service, cleaning and customer care to create a welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Two shifts available (37.5 hours and 39 hours per week) with a pay of €14.94 per hour. Opportunities for career development and access to the Sodexo employee benefits package are included.

• Experience in a food handling environment is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Assist with food preparation and presentation to standards.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional manner.
• Operate tills and handle transactions where required.
• Replenish displays and service areas throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, kitchens and prep spaces.
• Wash dishes and catering equipment using proper methods.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures.
• Receive and store deliveries; monitor stock levels and report needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Support the wider catering team with additional duties as required.

As a Food Service Assistant at TU Dublin Lowerhouse, you'll support the smooth day-to-day delivery of catering services across the campus. You'll assist with food preparation, service, cleaning, and customer care while helping to create a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. What you’ll do:

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food in line with company standards.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
• Operate tills and handle customer transactions where required.
• Replenish food displays, counters and service areas throughout the day.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in dining areas, kitchens and food preparation areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils and catering equipment using manual and mechanical cleaning methods.
• Follow all food hygiene, allergen and Health & Safety procedures.
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries correctly.
• Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of replenishment requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Support the wider catering team with additional duties as required.
