INTRODUCTION

RESPONSIBLE TO: Food & Beverage Manager

PURPOSE: To develop & maintain an exceptional guest experience at Ballynahinch Castle Hotel while upholding the hotel’s ethics and principles. Support the F&B Team in serving and assisting guests, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  1. Follow scheduled rosters and arrive on time for duty.
  2. Be available to work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends.
  3. Adhere to grooming standards as per the hotel's grooming policy.
  4. Perform general waiting and service duties for food and beverages.
  5. Prepare table and room setups as directed by your Manager.
  6. Communicate and liaise with team members, kitchen, and other operational areas to ensure tasks are completed.
  7. Provide guests with immediate recognition in a courteous and professional manner.
  8. Offer assistance or service to guests outside of departmental duties when needed.
  9. Manage guest requests promptly and efficiently.
  10. Support your manager and team in maintaining high standards at all times.
  11. Support new team members during their induction and ongoing training.
  12. Attend training sessions and follow all SOPs set by the Restaurant and Food & Beverage Managers.
  13. Follow cash handling procedures as per company standards.
  14. Occasionally assist and support the bar during busy periods.

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Report accidents and hazards promptly to management.
  2. Comply with fire, health, and safety regulations and attend relevant training.
  3. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of all food & beverage service areas according to legislation and company policy.
  4. Understand and implement responsibilities outlined in the Health & Safety statement.

OTHER DUTIES

  1. Perform any other duties outside normal routines that are within the scope of your position.
