Job summary

MCMA is seeking Social Care Workers to support Ireland’s care sector across County Cork locations. You will work with diverse client groups in residential, hospital and community settings, with CORU registration or eligibility required.

Flexibility, support, and care-quality are central to this role, with remuneration aligned to Tusla pay scales. Desirable: full clean driver’s licence, CORU registration, and a commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• CORU registration or valid CORU registration application
• BA in Social Care (L7/L8) or BA in Applied Social Care Studies in Social Care (L7/L8) or BA in Social Care Work (L7/L8) or BA in Social Care Practice (L7/L8) or BSc in Health & Social Care (L8) – Atlantic Technological University
• Eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker
• Current full clean driver’s licence (desirable)
• Valid work permissions

Responsibilities

• Promoting the rights and responsibilities of each service user within the service
• Participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans
• Promoting physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each service user
• Where applicable, liaising with family members and other professionals
• Adhering to policies and procedures
• Documentation and report writing
