Job summary

Global Medics APAC is seeking a Locum Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our Ireland team. The role offers flexible scheduling and excellent rates to support diverse clinical settings and patient care.

The successful candidate will provide care in outpatient clinics, wards and operating theatres, mentor junior doctors, and participate in MDTs while maintaining HSE governance and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• IMC Specialist Registration and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Significant orthopaedic surgery experience and leadership abilities.
• Strong teaching, communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care in outpatient clinics, inpatient wards and theatres.
• Mentor and supervise junior doctors during clinical development.
• Collaborate in MDT meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
• Ensure compliance with HSE governance and documentation standards.
• Support safe discharge planning and follow-up care for patients.
