Job summary

Medica Ireland is seeking a Bank Radiology Assistant to join our Clonsilla & Dun Laoghaire clinics. You will support radiographers with daily worklists, patient journey assistance, and chaperone duties, helping ensure safety, dignity and comfort.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills; who can work on their own initiative within a friendly, professional team in a busy clinical environment. Training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support is preferred but not essential.
• Currently studying Radiography is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the radiographer in completing daily worklists.
• Guide patients through the journey, verify identity, explain procedures.
• Provide emotional and physical support; act as chaperone for intimate exams.
• Transport patients to/from scanning areas and assist with positioning.
• Maintain scanning systems and equipment; report faults; clean as required.
• Monitor consumables and restock clinical areas as needed.
• Complete clerical tasks across information and patient management systems.
