Job summary

Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is recruiting a motivated Fitness Instructor to join our Health Club team. You will promote health, fitness and wellbeing while delivering exceptional service to members and guests, with flexibility for evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities include leading classes (including spinning), conducting fitness assessments, and maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards across the gym and pool areas.

Qualifications

• Recognised Gym Instructor qualification is essential.
• Valid qualification in fitness instruction and/or ability to teach a variety of fitness classes.
• Spinning Instructor qualification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in the fitness industry with broad fitness knowledge.
• Excellent knowledge of gym equipment, exercise techniques and health and safety practices.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine passion for health, fitness and wellbeing.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and safe use of gym equipment.
• Design and deliver fitness programmes, conduct fitness assessments and health screenings where qualified.
• Organise, supervise and instruct scheduled fitness classes, including spinning and other group classes.
• Motivate and support members in achieving health and fitness goals.
• Promote Health Club memberships, facilities and services to prospective and existing members.
• Ensure gym equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well-maintained.
• Assist with daily operation of Health Club, including reception duties and stock management.
• Maintain accurate member records and relevant documentation.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for all.
• Communicate effectively with other Resort departments to ensure seamless guest experience.
• Attend departmental meetings and complete end-of-shift procedures.

Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is currently recruiting a motivated, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Fitness Instructor to join our Health Club team. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering an exceptional experience for our members and guests by promoting health, fitness, and wellbeing while maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and professionalism. This role requires flexibility, including evening and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service, welcoming members and guests and responding to their needs in a professional and friendly manner
• Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and provide guidance on the safe and effective use of gym equipment
• Design and deliver fitness programmes, conduct fitness assessments, and carry out health screenings where appropriately qualified
• Organise, supervise, and instruct scheduled fitness classes, including spinning and other group exercise classes in line with your qualifications
• Motivate and support members in achieving their individual health and fitness goals
• Promote Health Club memberships, facilities, and services to prospective and existing members
• Ensure all gym equipment and facilities are clean, safe, well-maintained, and presented to the highest standards
• Carry out routine water quality testing, accurately record results, and take appropriate action when required
• Assist with the daily operation of the Health Club, including reception duties, opening and closing procedures, and maintaining adequate stock and supplies
• Maintain accurate member records and complete all relevant operational documentation
• Follow all health, safety, fire, and operational procedures to ensure a safe environment for members, guests, and colleagues
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other Resort departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Attend departmental meetings and complete all end-of-shift procedures as required

Essential Qualifications And Experience
