Job summary

Mercury in Dublin, Ireland is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site management of fire protection systems for complex installations. You will coordinate trades, ensure safety, quality, and adherence to the project programme while delivering ahead of schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, proven ability to drive large installation projects, and collaboration across design, planning and client teams. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel under your management.
• Establish the detailed scope for this project.
• Be exceptionally diligent in managing project changes.
• Ensure a verifiable paper trail exists for all changes.
• You are the Mercury manager for all scope associated with the fire protection on this project.
• Ensure all work is planned and executed in alignment with the programme schedule.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure materials and equipment are available ahead of need.
• Lead the Weekly and daily work plans.
• Validate changes are costed and approved before work commences.
• Coordinate with planning to meet client schedules and milestones.
• Understand scope in your discipline and maintain design awareness.
• Clarify design deliverables with Client/Main Contractor/Design department.
• Own execution of works to meet schedule and develop a Last Planner level schedule.
• Oversee progress reporting and on-time updates.
• Ensure team training aligns with project requirements.
• Uphold IFW philosophy on site.
