Job summary

Flynn Ireland is seeking an experienced internal fit-out finishing foreman to join our Cork region site teams. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and the highest quality standards across high-profile projects.

The role reports to the Site Manager and involves supervising Subcontractors, managing safety systems, and ensuring designs and regulatory requirements are met. A proactive, self-starting approach and ownership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade background preferable.
• Knowledge of internal fit out works and the latest building regulation and certification standards.
• Experience with large-scale commercial healthcare and pharmaceutical projects.
• Self-starter with good judgment when working under pressure.
• Proactive on one’s own initiative with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the site manager in supervising and coordinating Subcontractors.
• Manage Flynn Safety Management Systems on site.
• Ensure works are built to the approved design details.
• Ensure Subcontractors look-ahead plans and completion dates are met.
• Assist with plant/material requirements and progress reports.
• Inspect subcontractors’ work and ensure it meets standards.
• Prioritise workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Take control of snag lists and ensure completion.

Job description

REPORTING TO: SITE MANAGER

Purpose of role

Oversee site operations/task responsibilities on a day-to-day basis ensuring work is done safely, on time & to the highest quality standard.

Role Responsibilities

• Assisting the site manager in supervising and co-ordinating Subcontractors.
• Manage Flynn Safety Management Systems on site.
• Ensuring that the works are built to the approved design details.
• Ensure Subcontractors Look Ahead's and Completion Dates are met.
• You will be assisting with the plant/material requirements and advising Site Managers on progress reports.
• Ensuring works are carried out to the correct standard whilst also inspecting the sub-contractors work.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work in a timely manner.
• Take control of snag list and ensure that it is completed.
  

The Candidate

• Trade background preferable.
