Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Financial Services Tax team, delivering sophisticated tax solutions for clients across asset management, banking, securitisation, aviation finance, leasing, insurance and fintech. You will drive growth, manage delivery, and develop junior staff.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and a proven ability to build trusted client relationships while pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• ATT/ACA/ACCA or CTA qualified.
• Minimum 7 years’ post-qualification experience in financial services tax.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to identify opportunities for clients.
• Capable of working on your own initiative.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and the team.
• Proven business development skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop junior staff.
• Ambitious and want to pursue a career in practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team providing financial services tax services to a broad range of clients across sectors such as asset management, banking, securitisation, aviation finance and leasing, insurance and fintech.
• Provide support to clients’ transactions, compliance obligations and assess their tax strategies.
• Manage the implementation of advisory and compliance projects, meeting deadlines and billing.
• Contribute to the team’s growth by proactively managing existing clients and identifying opportunities for new work.
