Job summary

McGregor Boyall in Dublin is seeking professionals for the Financial Services Internal Audit team, from Consultant to Senior Manager. You will deliver risk-based internal audits for banks, insurers, payments firms and asset managers, covering governance, risk, controls and regulatory matters.

The role offers progression within a growing advisory practice and exposure to diverse clients. This is an opportunity to broaden client exposure, take on wider engagements and develop leadership experience

Qualifications

• Experience in internal audit or risk assurance within financial services.
• Exposure to banking, insurance, payments, or asset management.
• Strong governance, risk management and internal controls knowledge.
• Experience in audit planning, fieldwork, controls testing and reporting.
• Familiarity with Irish or EU financial services regulation (Central Bank of Ireland).
• Excellent communication, analytical and report-writing skills.
• Professional qualifications ACA/ACCA/CIA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver risk-based internal audits across financial services clients.
• Support audit planning, risk assessments, scoping and development of audit programmes.
• Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness; identify gaps and improvements.
• Lead audit fieldwork, document findings and prepare reports.
• Engage with client stakeholders to discuss findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments and Central Bank of Ireland expectations.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members; support professional development.
• At Manager/Senior Manager level, own engagements and client relationships.
