Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a dedicated professional to work with asset management clients on financial reporting, reviews and remediation projects. You will prepare statements under IFRS/GAAP, tie-out figures, and coordinate with fund administrators and auditors to meet deadlines.

You will leverage AI tools for disclosures, validate outputs against source records, and help with regulatory reporting. Strong Excel skills and a multi-GAAP background are valued in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification.
• 2-3 years experience in financial services sector or top ten auditing firms.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and at least one GAAP framework.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; attention to detail and deadlines.
• Basic AI literacy, including prompting, output validation and secure handling of client information.

Responsibilities

• Will work with asset management clients on financial reporting engagements, business process reviews and remediation projects, and short-term interim staffing assignments.
• Prepare annual and interim financial statements and supporting schedules for investment funds under IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP, FRS 102 or other applicable frameworks.
• Perform financial statement tie-outs, prior-year comparisons and first-level checks; maintain clear supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors and internal reviewers to resolve queries and meet deadlines.
• Use approved AI tools for disclosure drafting, document comparison, variance summaries and checklist support.
• Validate AI-generated content against source records and expedite accounting, data or confidentiality concerns.
• Will build strong relationships with client representatives.
• May also be involved in fund accounting engagements and other regulatory reporting activities.

Desired:

• Multi-GAAP or multi-jurisdiction reporting exposure.
• Experience in fund accounting, including period-end and regulatory reporting.
• Exposure to ERP and fund accounting systems such as Geneva, Investran, and Yardi, as well as financial statement production and reporting tools including Workiva, Donnelley/DFIN, Confluence, OneStream, and similar platforms
• Experience delivering financial reporting transformation and automation, developing technology-enabled propositions or client solutions.
• Strong external market awareness and ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into controlled, practical use cases.
