Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a qualified investment fund reporting professional to lead and deliver financial reporting engagements, reviews and remediation projects for asset management clients. You will work in a team, coordinating project plans and client deliverables, while applying US GAAP, IFRS and Lux GAAP.

You will embed AI risk considerations into workflows and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified or equivalent IFAC qualification.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in investment fund financial reporting, with demonstrated experience leading teams, coordinating projects, and managing client deliverables for at least 1-2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in reviewing investment fund financial statements and applying relevant accounting frameworks, including US GAAP, IFRS, and Lux GAAP.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Ability to manage competing deadlines and provide clear review feedback.
  • Working knowledge of AI risks, output verification, data privacy and responsible-use requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of financial reporting engagements and allocate work across preparers and reviewers.
  • Review financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules and audit support packs for completeness and consistency.
  • Manage project plans, reporting deadlines, open-item trackers and communication with clients, administrators and auditors.
  • Coach team members on fund reporting requirements, review standards and practical escalation.
  • Embed approved AI use cases into recurring workflows, including prior-year roll-forward, disclosure review, tie-outs and audit-query summaries.
  • Review AI-assisted work, document exceptions and ensure appropriate human review before release.
  • Will build a strong relationships with client representatives.
  • May also be involved in fund accounting engagements and other regulatory reporting activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Will work with asset management clients on financial reporting engagements, business process reviews and remediation projects, and short-term interim staffing assignments. The role involves working within a team environment to deliver high-quality outcomes and meet client deadlines. Responsibilities may include:

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Multi-GAAP or multi-jurisdiction reporting exposure.
  • Experience in fund accounting, including period-end and regulatory reporting.
  • Exposure to ERP and fund accounting systems such as Geneva, Investran, and Yardi, as well as financial statement production and reporting tools including Workiva, Donnelley/DFIN, Confluence, OneStream, and similar platforms
  • Experience delivering financial reporting transformation and automation, developing technology-enabled propositions or client solutions.
  • Strong external market awareness and ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into controlled, practical use cases.
