Job summary

Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) in Ireland is seeking a Financial Reporting Officer to prepare, review, and coordinate financial statements and regulatory reporting for a portfolio of investment funds and related entities. You will work with clients, auditors, fund accounting, and custody to ensure timely, accurate statutory and investor reporting with high quality service.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in financial reporting and/or audit.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with clients, external auditors, outsourced providers, etc.
• Manage the financial reporting process (audit planning, management, filing) for a range of clients.
• Prepare and review audited annual and interim financial statements in accordance with IFRS/Irish GAAP and regulatory disclosure requirements (UCITS, ICAV, AIFMD).
• Ensure timely and accurate results for each report within each relationship.
• Attend Board Meetings for approval of financial statements.
• Prepare, review, and submit monthly regulatory reporting returns to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).
• Oversee and review completion of regulatory tax filings (PAYE/VAT/IUT).
• Ensure compliance with SLAs and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Monitor progress of financial statements preparation and report issues to management.
• Support automation and digital transformation within financial reporting.

## Responsibilities**Financial Reporting Officer****About the team:**Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) has been active in Ireland for over 20 years and is a leading player in servicing Irish domiciled and offshore collective investment vehicles. We act locally as fund administrator and depositary for a wide range of international clients who manage schemes from UCITS to AIFs including private equity and real estate structures, hedge funds and special purpose vehicles. **Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:**The Financial Reporting Officer will be responsible for the preparation, review, and coordination of financial statements and regulatory reporting for a portfolio of investment funds and related entities.The successful candidate will work closely with clients, auditors, fund accounting team and custody team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of statutory and investor reporting while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client service.The successful candidate will support the preparation, review, and submission of statutory tax and payroll-related filings for relevant clients. This includes coordinating VAT returns, PAYE/PRSI reporting and other Revenue reporting obligations, ensuring compliance with Irish tax legislation and filing deadlines.**Responsibilities:**• Maintain and develop relationships with your clients, external auditors, outsourced providers, etc.;• Manage the financial reporting process (audit planning, management, filing) for a range of clients;• Prepare and review audited annual and interim financial statements (including workings) in accordance with procedures, relevant accounting standards (eg. Irish, IFRS, US, other GAAP) and the relevant regulatory disclosure requirements (eg. UCITS, ICAV, AIFMD, etc.);• Ensures timely and accurate results for each of the reports within each relationship;• Expands and promotes the image of SGSS to all external contacts;• Attends to the Board Meetings for approval of financial statements;• Prepare, review, and submit monthly MMIF/OF3 regulatory reporting returns to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to prescribed reporting deadlines;• Overseeing and reviewing the completion of central bank of Ireland and other regulatory tax filings, PAYE/VAT/IUT etc;• Compliance with service level agreements with the accounting teams / external stakeholders;• Compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements;• Monitor progress of financial statements preparation;• Keep a log of issues encountered and report regularly to staff /management on issues and areas for improvement;• Support automation and digital transformation initiatives within the financial reporting function;• Raise ideas to management to support continuous operational improvements;• Perform other duties as required from time to time.## Profile required• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills;• Ability to work stand alone or as part of a team;• Flexibility, Adaptability and willingness to learn essential;• Aptitude for figures;• An understanding of Funds, their mechanisms;• Attention to detail;• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels;• Experience of working to deadlines;• Have a thorough understanding of accounting principles together with an awareness of all current technical issues;• P.C. literate – experience of Microsoft Office package essential;• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas;• Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation tools to improve financial reporting processes, increase accuracy, and reduce manual effort.**WORK EXPERIENCE**• 2-4 years’ experience of financial reporting and/ or audit experience with knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS• Knowledge of PAYE / PRSI / VAT reporting an advantage• Experience working in a dynamic team with tight deadlines.**EDUCATION**• Degree required – preferred business/accounting/finance concentration.• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or actively pursuing qualification.**LANGUAGES****•**Fluent English essential, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to draft, review, and present financial statements, regulatory reports, and client communications to a high professional standard.## Why join usPeople join for the impact they can have on us.
