Job summary

S&W Partners Employment Services (Ireland) Limited seeks a Financial Reporting Assistant to support clients with IFRS and FRS 102 accounting, prepare statutory accounts, VAT returns and monthly management reporting in a Dublin-based role.

The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to company secretarial activities, tax registrations and ACCA/CAI qualification support, while developing precise accounting skills in a collaborative team environment at Sandyford, Dublin.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounting software packages and cloud-based systems.
• A third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, Business or related discipline.
• Pursuing, or intending to pursue, ACCA or CAI qualification.
• Results-oriented with focus on meeting client expectations.
• Understanding of relevant accounting standards (IFRS/FRS 102).
• Ability to monitor costs against budget.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements including statutory accounts under IFRS and FRS 102, partnership, sole trader and trust accounts.
• Assist with delivery of financial reporting services to a client portfolio within timelines and quality requirements.
• Provide on-site accounting support at client premises as required.
• Prepare and input client transactions into accounting systems.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients.
• Prepare VAT returns, Intrastat and VIES lists.
• Support tax services including registrations, deregistrations, and company secretarial activities.
• Keep manager informed of challenges and contribute to developing solutions.
• Ensure work is completed to agreed standards with clear record-keeping.
• Gain experience in other areas of Business Outsourcing Services including Company Secretarial and taxation reporting.
