Job summary

Barden are partnering with a growing renewable energy business in Cork to recruit a Financial Modeller. You will build and own project finance models, work with development, engineering and commercial colleagues, and help decide funding strategies.

Ideal candidates have a qualified accounting credential and 4+ years’ post-qualification experience, with strong Excel skills and the ability to present outputs to non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 4+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong financial modelling background, ideally in project finance, infrastructure, or energy.
• Advanced Excel skills with a clear and disciplined approach to model structure.
• Confident presenting outputs to non-finance colleagues and senior stakeholders.
• Curious, organised, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Barden are delighted to be partnering with our client, a growing renewable energy business, in their search for a Financial Modeller, based in Cork.

You will build and own the financial models behind investment decisions on new projects, from early-stage feasibility through to financial close. You will work alongside development, engineering, and commercial colleagues, so your numbers will help decide which projects go ahead and how they are funded.
