Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Dublin (On-site - primarily)

A leading healthcare organisation is seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join its senior finance team. This is a strategic leadership position within a dynamic and evolving environment, offering the opportunity to make a real impact at both operational and group level.

The role reports directly to the CFO and will suit a finance professional with a strong track record in financial management, business partnering, and team leadership. You will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring robust controls, and supporting key strategic and operational decisions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee all core finance functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting and FP&A
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial performance (daily, weekly, monthly, annual)
  • Prepare and review forecasts, budgets, and performance analysis
  • Manage cashflow and working capital in line with group treasury policy
  • Maintain and oversee the fixed asset register and capital spend monitoring

Strategic & Commercial Support

  • Provide financial input into strategic planning, growth initiatives, and business cases
  • Support pricing strategies and contract evaluations
  • Lead on the interpretation of business analytics and costing models to support informed decision-making
  • Drive cost control and efficiency initiatives in collaboration with operational teams

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant tax, audit, and financial reporting standards
  • Manage internal controls and risk registers across finance activities
  • Support external and internal audit processes and implement recommended improvements
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop the finance team to deliver high performance
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Ensure strong working relationships across departments based on a business partnering model

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 3+ years post-qualified experience in a finance leadership role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial control background
  • Proven ability to manage teams, drive change and deliver process improvements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
  • Previous experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or complex multi-entity environments is an advantage
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting tool proficiency
