Job summary

Crown Crown is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our finance team in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow. You will report to the CFO, lead a team of four, and oversee financial reporting, controls and treasury in a growing international business.

You will manage monthly and annual accounts, ensure statutory compliance, and support strategic decision-making, with a hybrid working arrangement after probation.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' senior finance experience in group/finance or financial control.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience managing and developing finance team members.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems/ERPs.
• Experience preparing board-level reporting or supporting senior leadership.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO with the performance and strategic direction of the finance function.
• Oversee monthly and annual management accounts and financial reporting.
• Maintain strong financial controls and oversee month-end close processes.
• Lead the preparation of information for annual external audits.
• Ensure VAT, tax and other statutory requirements are met across relevant jurisdictions.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of four direct reports.
• Oversee supplier and subcontractor finance processes.
• Manage day-to-day treasury and banking activities.
• Prepare and oversee cashflow forecasting and monitor liquidity.
• Monitor currency positions and FX exposure.
• Support credit management and customer credit reviews.
• Drive Finance KPIs and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
• Support financial planning, forecasting and strategic decision-making.
• Work with external auditors, tax advisers and other professional advisers.

About the Role
