Job summary

DECTA, a rapidly growing IT company in Dublin, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to safeguard client funds and manage reconciliations, controls, and reporting.

Reporting to Finance Manager, you will handle accounts payable/receivable, regulatory reporting, and contribute to financial control while supporting projects.

The role requires 2+ years in financial services, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset, with career development opportunities at DECTA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Qualified Accountant such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA is desirable but not essential depending on experience.
• 2+ years of experience in regulated financial services environment or a related field is desirable but not essential depending on experience.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel /Google and other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the prompt and accurate reconciliation, investigation, and resolution of safeguarding accounts, validating all monies have been received and disbursed correctly;
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory safeguarding policies and procedures owned by Decta, staying up to date with all relevant regulations;
• Develop, implement and monitor compliance with Decta’s policies and procedures as they relate to safeguarding;
• Working with the Finance Manager, CFO and outsourced service providers in the delivery of the internal and external financial and regulatory reporting requirements on a timely and accurate basis;
• Perform accounts payable & receivable activities to ensure the prompt payment of invoices and receipt of balances owed to Decta;
• Support the improvement of quality through procedural reviews and enhancements
• Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement;
• Develop excellent collaborative working relationships with our outsourced service provider Reconciliation teams across Decta;
• Prepare reconciliation reports for senior management review and sign off
• Participate in and/or lead Finance projects, as needed.

Decta is looking for an experienced control minded Financial Analyst to join our growing team!

Job Purpose and Summary

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Analyst will primarily be responsible for safeguarding clients’ funds on a daily basis through the performance of various reconciliation activities, ensuring all safeguarding reconciliations and controls operate effectively, regulatory obligations are met, and issues are proactively identified, escalated and remediated. Additionally the Analyst will work on a range of wider finance related activities covering Financial Control, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Accounts Payable and Receivable and all related activity ensuring that Decta is well managed and controlled from a financial perspective.
