A leading multi-national Group is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to manage financial and tax compliance processes. This entry-level role offers excellent training opportunities, working within an expanding company with strong growth plans. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Group Financial Accountant is responsible for the management of the financial and tax compliance processes across the Group. This role is perfect for a person looking for an entry level first role in industry or someone who has a few years industrial experience. You will be joining an expanding multi-national Group environment in an organisation which has strong growth plans, both organically and via acquisition. It is a great role and opportunity to develop your skillset and grow with the Group.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, technically strong, possess strong organisation skills, is comfortable around a changing environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once and take on new challenges.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing the Group month end accounting process
Preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts
Preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements
Consolidation of the Group budget for the management reporting pack
Preparation of the Board reporting pack
Managing monthly variance analysis and providing commentary on the financial performance
Responsible for acquisition accounting when required
Liaising with the external Auditors
Liaising with other Group companies to ensure company taxes are filed and paid
Supervising junior accounting staff
Ad hoc tasks as required
Qualifications and experience;
Suitable for a newly qualified accountant or person with some industrial experience
Strong technical accounting skillset
Comfortable around taxation compliance, tax qualification not a requirement
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to work independently, multi-task and problem solve.
Willingness to learn, progress and ability to assume responsibility
Excellent communication and reporting skills
