Job summary

Life Scientific is expanding its Finance team in Dublin, seeking a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 1–5 years PQE. You will lead group reporting, ensure ledger integrity across multiple entities, and support IFRS/FRS 102 compliance in a fast-paced, scaling business.

You will partner with Supply Chain, R&D and Commercial teams to provide financial insight for decision-making and budgeting cycles. A multi-currency consolidation capability is highly valuable.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Experience with IFRS / FRS 102.
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environment preferred.
• Comfortable explaining financial matters to non-finance colleagues.

As a financial accountant, you will join a high-performing, commercially engaged finance team supporting a multi-entity, multi-currency business.

What You’ll Own

Financial Reporting & Ledger Integrity

• Lead preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting packs
• Maintain general ledger integrity across multiple entities (accruals, deferrals, intercompany, reclasses)
• Support group consolidation activities in a multi-currency environment
• Ensure reporting is accurate, structured and delivered on time

Audit & Compliance

• Own key elements of statutory audit preparation
• Liaise directly with external auditors
• Manage VAT, Intrastat and related compliance filings
• Ensure adherence to IFRS / FRS 102 accounting standards

Commercial & Operational Support

• Partner with Supply Chain, R&D and Commercial teams
• Provide financial insight supporting operational decision-making
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Support analysis that informs growth and investment decisions

Process & Scale

• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives
• Strengthen controls as the business grows
• Support and mentor junior finance colleagues

What You Bring

You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).

You Bring

• 1–5 years’ PQE
• Strong grounding in technical accounting principles (IFRS / FRS 102)
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments (group consolidation exposure is highly valuable)
• Comfort operating in a deadline-driven, fast-paced setting
• Clear communication skills - able to explain financial matters simply

• Audit training from a recognised practice
• Exposure to manufacturing, stock or inventory environments
• Experience working within ERP systems
