Qualifications

About Us

Ethos Care, now including the Sonas Nursing Home Group, operates a network of nursing homes across Ireland, committed to delivering exceptional care for our residents. We’re growing our team in Cork and looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support our finance operations and help our nursing homes thrive.

The Role

As a Financial Accountant, you’ll manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, working closely with the Head of Finance. Your insights and analysis will help guide decision-making and improve financial performance across our homes.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Maintain the general ledger and oversee month-end/year-end processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and audit requirements.
  • Support process improvements and financial system enhancements.
What We’re Looking For
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA qualified with 3+ years’ experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage preferred; ERP systems acceptable).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
