Job summary

HireForce is partnering with a well-established Irish manufacturing business to recruit a Financial Accountant for a broad role that extends beyond traditional financial reporting. You will be responsible for financial reporting across several entities while contributing to commercial analysis and systems improvements.

The role involves managing month-end processes, consolidations, statutory accounts support and partnering with operations to understand business performance.

Qualifications

Financial Accountant - Manufacturing - South Mayo

HireForce is delighted to be working with a successful Irish Manufacturing firm in County Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a broad role that goes beyond traditional financial reporting. The successful candidate will gain exposure across management reporting, consolidations, commercial analysis, systems, controls and finance projects, while working closely with both finance and operational teams.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced finance team, you will take responsibility for financial reporting across a number of business entities while also contributing to wider operational and finance initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly and quarterly financial and management accounts
• Managing reporting requirements across multiple entities
• Supporting group consolidation and year-end financial reporting
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
• Working closely with operational teams to understand business performance
• Supporting the development and enhancement of internal financial controls
• Assisting with statutory accounts and the year-end audit process

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified accountant
• Strong across financial reporting, management accounts and month-end processes
• Technically strong with a good understanding of accounting standards and financial controls
• Advanced in Excel with strong overall systems capabilities
