Job summary

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail in Ireland invites applications for the position of Senior Finance Manager – Project Accounting within the Capital Investments Division to support the Head of Finance Capital Investments. The role requires strong commercial experience and a proven track record in delivering management and financial reporting for a portfolio of projects.

Key duties include developing standard project reporting templates, monitoring budgets and cash flows, overseeing SAP project

Qualifications

Qualified Accountant with significant financial management experience.
Strong corporate governance aptitude and commercial experience required.
Proven track record in financial reporting, end-to-end processes and strict deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of accountants and deliver timely, accurate data.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with integrity and initiative.

Responsibilities

Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting for Capital Investments.
Develop a standard project reporting template across all projects.
Monitor project transactions in SAP and liaise with contracts teams.
Review project accruals, retentions, and bonds; manage cash flow forecasts.
Maintain project KPI reporting and present to Head of Finance Capital Investments.
