Job summary

Statkraft in Cork, Ireland, offers a six-month Finance Assistant internship within the Business Control and Performance Management area. You will support the Senior Business Controller for the Irish project pipeline in construction and operations, including M&A-related tasks, SAP cost control, and Power BI dashboard management.

Ideal candidates are current finance students with strong English communication, teamwork skills, and a keen interest in renewable energy.

Qualifications

  • Finance-related college course in progress.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Report to and support the Senior Business Controller EFNI – Finance Ireland, focusing on the Irish project pipeline in construction and operations.
  • Support finance workstreams on M&A processes, due diligence, decision gate papers and funding post-completion actions.
  • Assist in integrating new companies and assets into the finance framework.
  • Support cashflow management for operational and construction project pipelines in Ireland.
  • Contribute to month-end tasks including revenue and cost accruals for projects.
  • Prepare monthly spend and activity reports for steerco committees and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing the Power BI dashboard and ensure reconciliation to SAP with variance commentary.
  • Help prepare quarterly internal business review packs for Europe Region 1.
  • Collaborate with other business controllers across regions.
  • Assist SAP cost code management, cost centers and settlements rules.
  • Contribute to overall finance team competence and improvement initiatives.
